  1. Vietnamese Fruit cocktail

Vietnam is one of the countries that produce huge numbers of durian and even some of them are exported. Because of that, the local people really love durian and they have some interesting durian food to offer. One of them is fruit cocktail called Che Thai. It is creamy dessert with various fruit. In addition to durian as the main ingredients, there are also lychee, cubed or sliced jackfruits, jelly, and other fruits. Then, all of them are combined with coconut milk and sugar. Ice is added to bring freshness for those who drink the cocktail.

  • Pulut durian

Malaysia is also one of the famous countries because of its durian. Even, it is the place where you can find Musang King. It is one of the famous durian because of the great flavor and texture. In Malaysia, pulut durian become of the popular options of durian food. In fact, pulut is also found in Thailand, Singapore, and even Indonesia. Durian becomes the main ingredients. The flesh of the fruit is mixed with pandan leaves, coconut milk, salt, and sugar. Then, the mixture will be boiled to create a sauce with thick texture. Then, it is served with glutinous rice that has been steamed.

  • Tempoyak

Tempoyak becomes nice choices of durian food. This is more like a fermentation of durian. The fermentation is made of the salted durian. It does not take much time because two days are enough. However, people who love strong taste can choose the older fermentation of durian. The combination of salty, sweet, and tangy flavor will surely give interesting impression on tongue. However, normally people enjoy the tempoyak with other dishes. Fruits or even main courses can be combined, so it is not like a regular fermentation drink.

  • Dodol

Dodol becomes other recommendation of durian food. It comes from Indonesia. It is quite common treat produced in West and Central Java. The texture is sticky with sweet taste. It is made of durian, rice flour, coconut milk, and also brown sugar. However, it is not easy to make because it takes time to make the liquid mixture solidified assisted by constant heat. Although now dodol is commonly factory-produced because of its long duration, some traditional dodol makers still can be found in some areas of Java.
